Teeth whitening
Teeth whitening is a quick and easy treatment. The treatment takes about an half an hour. This is perfect for those who do not have the patience for home treatments. The results are visible at once and the procedure is safe and in general painless. You should not get your teeth whitened if you are pregnant or breast feeding.
Post procedure:
- 2 hours after the procedure the consumption of food and drink should be kept to a minimum
- 48 hours after the procedure
- No smoking or using of snus
- No acidic or color rich foods and drinks, for example coffee, tea, cola, red wine, liquorice , ammonium chloride (salmiakki), chocolate, beetroot, ketchup, blueberry etc.
- Gums may be tender the next 24-48hours
After the procedure there may occure some tenderness or pain during the next 24-48hours. This can be medicated with painkillers that you are use to.
During the procedure the bleaching agent might have seeped into the gums and the gums have turned white close to the teeth. Whiteness will disappear within half an hour after the procedure.
The result and how lasting the result is depends on several factors, such as age, lifestyle and dental hygiene and care.
The procedure can be redone after 6 months.
