Breast Reduction for Men

Breast Reduction for Men

The condition in which the male breasts are mainly composed of fatty tissue is called Pseudogynecomastia.

Pseudogynecomastia

Pseudogynecomastia looks much like real gynecomastia but has no medical reason for being there except for the patient being overweight. Since the area surrounding the breast in this type of gynecomastia is mainly fatty tissue, liposuction may offer immediate results.

Liposuction

Surgical liposuction, also known as lipoplasty or simply lipo, is a cosmetic surgery operation that removes fat from many different sites on the human body. Areas affected can range from the abdomen, thighs and buttocks, to the neck, backs of the arms and elsewhere.

Body-Jet liposuction uses highly concentrated water applied in pulsed sequence to dislodge fat cells, making them easier to remove. This water-assisted liposuction method prevents damage to surrounding connective tissue and blood vessels, and it minimizes trauma to the treatment region.

BodyTite is radio frequency  assisted liposuction. With this treatment it is now possible to achieve both substantial fat reduction and body firming results. Bodytite is an effective mini-invasive treatment with minimum downtime and permanent results.

Gynecomastia

The medical term gynecomastia means “woman-like breasts.” This condition in one or both breasts affects an estimated 40 to 60 percent of men. While certain drugs and medical conditions can contribute to breast overdevelopment, most cases do not have a known cause.

Plastic surgery

The male breast reduction procedure is designed to remove fat and/or glandular tissue from the breasts, and, in rare cases, excess skin. The result is a flatter, firmer chest consistent with a masculine body contour. As with all cosmetic surgery procedures, healing and final results are very individualized.
